This film is not a classic portrait, but a documentary that uses fiction to bring Martin Suter's novels to life and so brings us closer to the authors behind the stories on a whole new level. „The imagination is usually more correct than reality," says Suter. He walks through his stories, staged in a cinematic and aesthetically impressive way, illuminating his protagonists and their secrets - and in particular his own private cosmos: a world steeped in contrasts and shaped by an addiction to stories. This film shows us everything about Martin Suter - everything but the truth.
