What happens when people pass away lonely and socially isolated? Why is this happening more and more often, and how do we as a society want to deal with this tendency?
In Germany, it is up to the anonymous public - embodied by the colleagues of the office for public order, who are increasingly concerned with the orderly processing of a human life - to at least pay their last respects to the deceased. How does this balancing act between humanity and administrative act work?
